Mr. Shawn C. Landry serves as the court executive officer of the Superior Court of Yolo County since 2013. He oversees the operations of the court, which includes 13 bench officers, 125 staff, and an $23 million budget. He previously served as the court’s assistant court executive officer from 2003 to 2013.

During his tenure, he played a leadership role in the design and construction of the $163 million Woodland courthouse. He successfully implemented a new case management system to include e-filing, a judicial interface, electronic public access to court records, and automated minute orders. This implementation has enhanced public access and transitioned the Yolo court system into an entirely paperless process. Mr. Landry implemented and scaled a virtual courthouse allowing remote and live stream access to court hearings, increasing access to the public through the pandemic and beyond. Mr. Landry employs a private-sector business philosophy of modernization, efficiency of processes, access to justice through technology, customer service, and investments in high-quality, professional, and friendly staff.

Mr. Landry was appointed to the policymaking of the judicial branch, the Judicial Council of California, by Chief Justice Tani G. Cantil-Sakauye from September 15, 2020, through September 14, 2023. He has served and continues to serve on numerous Judicial Council and statewide committees including the Trial Court Budget Advisory Committee, Judicial Council Technology Committee, Rules Committee, Trial Court Facilities Modification Committee, and vice-chair of the Court Executive Advisory Committee.

Prior to his 17 years at Yolo court, he served as a staff member of the Judicial Council of California. Previous to that, Mr. Landry worked in the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit in the Florida State Court in court administration. He earned his juris doctor degree in 1996.
