Remote Appearances

Yolo Superior Court offers video remote appearances in various case types to promote access to justice. The public is strongly encouraged, to take advantage of this option which can save you time and travel expenses.
If you are a participant utilizing the video remote appearance option, participants must:
- Comply with the remote appearance requirements found on the court’s website including the following tabs: Settings & Technology, Before the Hearing, Day of the Hearing, and During the Hearing,
- Turn the video on when your case is called, and
- Appear presentable as if appearing physically in court.
If a participant does not comply with these conditions and the conditions outlined under the tab headings outlined above, the judge presiding over the case may require physical appearance, continue the case, and/or order physical appearances for all future hearings.
Public Access to Court Proceedings:
Yolo Superior Court offers full video audio of court proceedings to the public via live-streaming of hearings. The decision to livestream or not is within the discretion of the judge presiding over the hearing.
Recording Prohibition:
Reproducing, republishing, rebroadcasting, uploading, posting, transmitting, or otherwise using any court proceedings content is prohibited without prior written judicial authorization, Rule 1.150 of the California Rules of Court.
Violating these prohibitions may result in contempt of court, sanctions, or termination of media coverage.
Content Warning:
Court proceedings may contain explicit language, adult themes, and violence unsuitable for viewers under 18. Viewer discretion is advised.
